Port Canaveral Cruise Guide: Terminals, Parking and Getting There

Port Canaveral, which Royal Caribbean calls "Port Canaveral (Orlando)," is homeport to seven major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Disney, MSC and Norwegian. The port says Orlando International Airport (MCO) is about 45 minutes west via SR 528. Every terminal has its own garage and surface lots, and no reservations are needed.

Port details last checked Oct 28, 2026. Always confirm with your cruise line.

Terminals and which lines use them

Port Canaveral's terminals are split into two groups: the A Terminals on the north side (Exit 54A: Cruise Terminals 5, 6, 8 and 10) and the B Terminals on the south side (Exit 54B: Cruise Terminals 1, 2 and 3). The port's 2026 terminal map lists these homeported lines:

Terminal Address Homeported lines (per the port's 2026 map)
CT 1 9050 Discovery Rd Royal Caribbean (including Icon Class Star of the Seas), Celebrity
CT 3 220 Christopher Columbus Dr Carnival (Princess listed as coming soon)
CT 5 9245 Charles Rowland Dr Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity (coming soon)
CT 6 9241 Charles Rowland Dr Carnival, Norwegian, Princess
CT 8 9155 Charles Rowland Dr Disney
CT 10 9005 Charles Rowland Dr Disney, MSC
CT 2 180 Christopher Columbus Dr No homeported ships shown on the map

The port says ship schedules and assigned terminals can change. Check your cruise documents, then follow the port's signs.

Getting there

Parking

Garages and surface lots sit right next to each terminal, so there's no parking shuttle. The port doesn't take reservations and says there's plenty of space at every terminal, including oversized spots for RVs. Payment is by credit card only, collected when you enter. Lots don't open before 10 AM for embarking passengers. Drop passengers and bags at the terminal front, where porters help, and then park.

Where to stay the night before

Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral are closest to the port, and the port notes that many hotels there run cruise shuttles. If you're adding theme parks or landing late, stay in the Orlando airport (MCO) area and drive or take a shuttle east on SR 528 in the morning. See our Port Canaveral and Orlando hotels.

Boarding-day timeline

  1. The night before: Confirm your terminal number and assigned boarding time. Terminals can change.
  2. Morning: Plan your arrival for your assigned time. Garages and lots don't open before 10 AM for embarking guests.
  3. Arrival: Take Exit 54A (CT 5, 6, 8, 10) or Exit 54B (CT 1, 3). Drop bags and passengers at the terminal, then park and pay by card on entry.
  4. Check-in and security: Have passports or ID and your boarding pass ready.
  5. Sail-away: Watch from the top deck as you head out past Jetty Park.

Return-day tip

The port says disembarking guests can get to their vehicles any time, and since parking was paid on entry, you can drive straight out. If you're flying home from MCO, allow for the drive west plus airport security. A later-day flight is the safer bet.
