Ahoy from the Space Coast! I'm Captain Sail, the guide for Book with the Captain. If you're looking for a cruise travel agent for Port Canaveral, here's what you should know up front: I plan Canaveral sailings online, by email and chat, for travelers flying into Orlando, driving across Florida or coming from anywhere else. There's no office to visit. I plan the flight, the night before, the parking and the ship as one trip.

The Orlando-plus-cruise trip, planned as one
Plenty of families want theme park days and a cruise in one vacation. The pieces have to fit: park days, a transfer to the coast, a hotel night, then embarkation. When I plan it, I:
- Put the land days and the sailing on one timeline, so nobody's racing from a park to the pier.
- Suggest where to stay before the cruise, whether that's near the airport, in Orlando or close to the port. Start with my Port Canaveral and Orlando hotels page.
- Match the ship to your crew. For families comparing Royal Caribbean's biggest ships, see my Icon-class family guide, and for school-break timing, spring break 2027 family cruises from Florida.
Getting to the port
Flying in. Port Canaveral says Orlando International (MCO) is about 45 minutes west via the S.R. 528 toll road. It lists Orlando Melbourne International (MLB) at about 40 minutes south and Orlando Sanford International (SFB) at about 1 hour northwest (Port Canaveral directions and parking). I compare them against your flights.
Driving in. On S.R. 528, the port sends A Terminal traffic to Exit 54A and B Terminal traffic to Exit 54B (Port Canaveral directions and parking). I confirm your terminal on your booking, because the port notes that ship schedules and assigned terminals can change.
Ground transportation. The port names Cocoa Beach Express as its official ground transportation concessionaire, and it says many hotels offer complimentary or scheduled shuttles to and from the port, which you arrange with the hotel (Port Canaveral transportation).
How parking works at Port Canaveral
The port's own rules make driving simple:
- Park and walk. The port says its garages and surface lots sit next to each cruise terminal, so no shuttle is needed.
- No reservations. The port doesn't take parking reservations, and it says there's parking at every cruise terminal, including oversized spaces for RVs and buses.
- Cashless. Parking is paid by major credit card.
- Opening time. Garages and lots don't open before 10 AM for embarking passengers, so follow your assigned boarding time (Port Canaveral directions and parking).
Check the port's site for current rates. Weighing a hotel park-and-cruise option instead? My post on hotels near Port Canaveral and PortMiami with shuttles and parking walks through the questions to ask.

FAQ
Do you have an office near Port Canaveral?
No. Book with the Captain plans cruises online, so there's no storefront or office to visit. I work by email, chat and the quote form with travelers across Florida and beyond. Your booking is made directly with the cruise line, and I stay with you from the first quote to the day you sail.
Can you plan Orlando theme park days and a cruise together?
Yes. I put the land days, the transfer to the coast, a hotel night and your sailing on one timeline, so the pieces fit. Port Canaveral says Orlando International is about 45 minutes from the port via S.R. 528, which makes a parks-and-cruise trip simple to plan with a buffer.
Do I need to reserve parking at Port Canaveral?
No. Port Canaveral says it doesn't take parking reservations, and its garages and lots sit next to each cruise terminal, so you park and walk. Payment is cashless, by major credit card. Lots don't open before 10 AM for embarking passengers, so follow your cruise line's assigned boarding time.
Does it cost more to use a cruise travel agent?
No Book with the Captain fees and no markup on cruise and hotel bookings: you pay the cruise line's or hotel's rate. Ask us what extras may be available for your sailing.
