Ahoy! I'm Captain Sail, the guide for Book with the Captain, an independent travel advisor of Fora Travel. Legend of the Seas is the third Icon Class ship, and in 2027 Royal Caribbean splits its year between Fort Lauderdale and the Mediterranean. This is a feature guide from Royal Caribbean's own pages, not firsthand. No star ratings, no "we sailed" stories, just what's on board and where it goes.

Things to do on board

Royal Caribbean's Legend page lists activities for every age:

Captain's tip: With teens and little ones on the same trip, Legend's layout lets you split up and meet again: Surfside for the family, Thrill Island for the older kids, and The Hideaway for the adults.

Dining and shows

Royal Caribbean says Legend has a record-breaking 28 ways to dine, with 17 complimentary eateries. Five shows are included in the fare, according to the line, including Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and America's Got Talent LIVE.

Where Legend sails in 2027

Royal Caribbean's fleet page sums it up: "In 2027, Legend of the Seas sails 6–8 nights from Fort Lauderdale and 7 nights in Europe from Barcelona and Rome." Its Legend page splits the year this way:

Season Home port Trips Royal Caribbean names
Winters Fort Lauderdale, FL Western and Southern Caribbean, with stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay
Summers Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia) Western Mediterranean, visiting Spain, France and Italy

Exact months vary, so ask us which dates fit.

In Europe, Royal Caribbean's Legend page mentions ports in Spain, France and Italy, naming Naples and Palma de Mallorca. For first-timers flying to Spain, my first Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona guide covers the basics.

Who Legend of the Seas suits

Based on Royal Caribbean's descriptions, Legend fits:

It's less of a fit for travelers who want a smaller ship in Europe. My ship classes guide covers the smaller Vision and Radiance Class ships.
